Job Description
Postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the Center for Translational Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. The laboratory of Dr. Jianxin Sun investigates molecular signaling pathways involved in vascular inflammation, endothelial dysfunction, pulmonary artery hypertension, heart failure, and acute lung injury. The proposed studies will employ cutting edge technologies to elucidate novel pathogenic mechanisms and to advance therapeutics specific for cardiopulmonary disorders. We seek highly motivated individuals for these positions who have extensive experiences in molecular and cellular biology, vascular medicine and models of human disease. Excellent oral and written communication skills and a collaborative attitude are also required. Work will be performed in a dynamic and supportive environment and candidates will have ample opportunities for scientific growth.
Qualified applicants for postdoctoral fellows should have a recent PhD and/or an MD degree and a strong research experience in one of the following areas: molecular and cell biology, biochemistry, immunology, pharmacology, and mouse genetics or related field.
