Summary
The Department of Nutrition at the Children's Nutrition Research Center is seeking a skilled Senior Coordinator, Business Operations. The role will provide general administrative and financial support to a large departmental research division. The role will report to the division administrative management team and assist with human resources (HR) actions, post award HR grant management, and monitoring of accounts.
Job Duties
- Assists with the management of daily division operational activities.
- Performs administrative tasks, such as making travel arrangements for faculty, answering phones, scheduling conference rooms, etc.
- Facilitates cross-channel feedback from faculty and employees to management and faculty executive teams.
- Works with CNRC leaders, supervisors, and faculty to learn division needs and goals.
- Ensures that all activities conform to federal (USDA), and college standards.
- Identifies and resolves any problems in various HR tools and BCM visas processes.
- Liaises with BCM Human Resources regarding visa applications and extensions, faculty, staff, and postdoctoral associate recruitment, and other personnel related matters.
- Assists with credentialing and onboarding faculty and staff.
- Assists with the many finance projects on the post-award side of the Division, generating HR and expense reports for the college, department, and division faculty.
- Notifies faculty and staff about training and compliance deadlines.
- Observes, reviews, and analyzes processes to identify inefficiencies and areas where improvements could be made.
- Creates and distributes financial and grant reports using SAP, BRAIN, CONCUR or other software.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Four years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field.
